Ubiquity Achieves Compliance With GDPR

NEW YORK, NY: May 22, 2018 – Ubiquity Global Services, a multinational business services organization, today announced that it is fully compliant with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standard and remains fully prepared to support its clients in the payments, FinTech and financial services spaces.

GPDR is the most significant and comprehensive piece of European data protection legislation. GDPR strengthens the rights that that Data Subjects have regarding their personal data and creates a unified data protection law across Europe, regardless of where that data is processed. All organizations interacting with Personal Data should be fully complaint by 25 May 2018, and Ubiquity has taken steps to achieve this mandate.

With multiple locations in Europe and clients around the world, achieving the GDPR compliance standard was essential. Matt Nyren, Ubiquity’s president and chief executive officer, was a strong proponent of preparing for and ensuring GDPR compliance by the effective date. “As a global company built upon a strong culture of compliance, preparing and assuring for the high standards required for full GDPR compliance was necessary”, Nyren said.

“Ubiquity’s compliance with GDPR keeps Ubiquity in a prime position to be a strong partner for our existing and future partners.”

Ubiquity’s vice president of legal and Data Privacy Officer Amy Pugh led Ubiquity’s efforts to achieve full compliance with the standard, which provides greater transparency around what other individuals and entities store and interact with personal data. “Ubiquity strongly supports the underlying concepts of the regulation, which increases accountability, enhanced rights for individuals, and calls for greater transparency. Working with our global teams to ensure compliance has been a rewarding experience that will benefit our business, as well as our partners and their customers.”
